Your body holds the key to health, and it’s my mission to share my passion for Kinesiology.
The body is a complex system. So, how do we know where to begin? Our bodies continuously strive to regain balance, often needing a little assistance along the way. This is where Kinesiology shines. Kinesiology offers a holistic pathway to balanced wellness.

What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology, derived from the term 'the study of movement,' was developed by Chiropractor Dr. George Goodheart in the 1960s. This practice integrates the Chinese five-element theory with muscle testing to identify imbalances in muscles and organs connected through the nervous system. Each muscle corresponds to a specific organ and energy pathway (meridian), forming a circuit.
Kinesiology addresses various issues, such as nutritional deficiencies, food intolerances, emotional stress, and structural misalignments, emphasizing the body's interconnectedness.
A key advantage of kinesiology is its use of 'Priority Mode,' which identifies and responds to the body's specific needs at any given moment. It recognizes the body's innate ability to determine which areas require support. By focusing on these priorities, kinesiology promotes healing and restores balance, effectively addressing the body's immediate needs.
Corrections to restore balance may include lymphatic massage, acupressure points, neurovascular points, energy work, structural adjustments, nutritional supplements, and emotional support, including Bach Flower Remedies.

What to Expect in a Session
The client and therapist work together to assess the body's energetic responses. You will remain comfortably clothed, lying on a couch or seated.
The initial therapy session lasts 90 minutes, allowing us time to thoroughly review your health history. Please note that all information shared during these sessions is completely confidential.
I will perform muscle testing using your arms, legs, and specific points on your body to identify imbalances and what needs addressing in the session.
Based on my findings, the corrections to restore balance may include lymphatic massage, acupressure points, neurovascular points, energy work, structural adjustments, nutritional supplements and emotional work, including Bach Flower Remedies.
Additionally, I may recommend lifestyle changes, such as dietary strategies and supplements, to support your overall well-being. You can expect a personalized approach, guided by your body’s unique wisdom and inner knowing.
Please ensure that you are well-hydrated and bring any supplements you are currently taking, so that we can assess and establish optimal levels for all beneficial supplements.
Flower remedies are included in the consultation fee
Supplements are charged additionally and ordered by the client
Homeobotanicals, if discussed and required, incur an additional charge of £20 (plus £5 if posted)

Why I love Kinesiology
Kinesiology continues to inspire me through its ‘Ah Ha’ moments. I am fascinated by how the body communicates its needs, leading to positive change and transformation.
I studied Functional Kinesiology through the ‘College of Functional Wellness’ in West Sussex. I was inspired to study Kinesiology after having ongoing Kinesiology treatments and being fascinated by how my body instantly showed me change.
My bodywork journey began in Thailand, where I studied Thai Massage in Chiang Mai in 2001. After returning to the UK, I furthered my education in Thai Massage with Niclaire Mann in Lyme Regis. This experience led me to attend The College of Classical Massage in Brighton in 2003. I have since worked in a Chiropractic Clinic in Brighton for over 20 years and continue to this day. Throughout these years, I have expanded my training in bodywork to include Sports Massage, On-Site Chair Massage, and Reflexology.
I have trained with ‘Jing Advanced Training Brighton’ in Myofascial Release, TMJ (Tempo Mandibular Joint) and Hot Stone Massage.
I find Kinesiology uniquely effective in restoring homeostasis. I truly enjoy working with people to facilitate their healing journeys.

Functional Kinesiology, a whole health approach
Functional Kinesiology integrates traditional Kinesiology with the concept of ‘The Triangle of Hormonal Health”. This approach highlights the often-overlooked interplay between three categories of hormones: blood sugar hormones, stress hormones, and sex hormones. Many physical symptoms, such as digestive and immune issues, are often seen as consequences of hormonal imbalances.
We address these six key areas:
Blood sugar balancing
Stress and adrenal health
Hormone balancing
Digestive health
Immune system health
Emotional balancing

Nutrition and Kinesiology
Nutrition plays a vital role in our overall well-being, influencing everything from our energy levels to our digestive health. However, many of us may be unknowingly consuming foods that cause issues like constipation, indigestion, headaches, fatigue, and more. It's not always obvious which foods are the culprits. This is where kinesiology food testing can help. Identifying foods that may be causing you discomfort, and help you make more informed decisions about your diet.
It’s important to understand the difference between food allergies and sensitivities—while allergies can be debilitating and are usually easy to identify.
The Role of Nutrition in Kinesiology:
Kinesiology can pinpoint imbalances in the body and recommend changes to improve health. Food sensitivity testing can be a crucial tool in this process. Rather than relying on trial and error, kinesiology helps to pinpoint exact sensitivities and guide your diet accordingly. The result is improved health and a diet that supports your body’s unique needs.
Ideally, we would obtain all the necessary nutrients from our food. However, factors like farming methods and environmental changes can sometimes affect the nutrient levels in what we eat. This can lead to a need for additional support in our diets, which is why many people consider taking supplements to help meet their vitamin and mineral needs.
